The Younger Members Group (YMG) is a group within the ASCE Birmingham Branch to help our Younger Members develop professionally and personally through active participation in social, educational, and community service events. Younger Members must be age 35 or younger, but attendance to YMG events is open to everyone including civil engineering students at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). Current Occupation: Technical Resource Engineer with Foley Products Company
About:
Alec grew up in Mobile, AL and moved to Birmingham, AL in 2019. He attended the University of Alabama where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering in May 2017. Alec started working with Goodwyn Mills Cawood (GMC) as an EIT upon graduation, and while there worked on site civil and municipal design. He now currently works for Foley Products where he assists Engineers and Municipalities with Specifications and Design in regards to Precast Infrastructure. In his free time Alec enjoys traveling, concerts and casting some occasional tight lines.
